Are you a school librarian, teacher, special education teacher, cultural liaison, or principal? This evening is for you—sign up for this fall’s teachers’ evening today! Sparkling wine and snacks will be served.
The exhibition Remnants takes its cue from a historic encounter: the year is 1969, when jazz trumpeter Don Cherry met bassist Johnny Dyani in Sweden. Their musical collaboration—marked by improvisation, contemporary politics, and artistic freedom—serves as a gateway to exploring larger narratives of resistance, solidarity, and Black life in motion. Visitors encounter an evocative mix of painting, photography, music, and installations.
Through the exhibition Remnants, we explore questions such as how art, music, and imagery can open up conversations about history, identity, and contemporary issues in the classroom?
16:30 The evening begins with drinks and snacks.
17:00 Guided tour of Remnants.
17:30 Information about school programs and a chance to try our tactile tour.
