Fun activities for children from 8 years and up every Friday throughout the summer.

Different themes and techniques each time.
1:00 PM–4:00 PM. No prior knowledge required, materials and coffee included. Meeting point: Campus Tensta, Hagstråket 11.

June 27: Strange animals!

Make animals out of papier mâché with artist Gazelle Kianoush and cartoonist Sara Bayrami. Listen to a choir of endangered birds and create sculptures out of papier mâché, a malleable mass made from soaked paper and glue. Come up with your own animals and plants.

July 4: Magical patternsSee the patterns in nature! Artists Gazelle Kianoush and Sara Bayrami lead and inspire you to paint patterns with watercolor. Leaves, asphalt, facades and small insects.

July 11: Earth art in PilparkenPilparken outside Campus Tensta is filled with gravel. By "drawing" in the gravel, you can create artworks several meters large. Several famous artists in the USA worked with so-called "earth art" in the 1960s and 70s. Simple and effective! With the artists Gazelle Kianoush and Sara Bayrami.

July 18: Marionettes with the artist Carlos Martinez. Event 1
Carloz Martinez is an artist in Tensta, he calls himself a scrap artist. From what he finds he makes marionette figures. Now you can learn to make your own marionette doll and mechanical toys. Why not set up a small theater!

August 1: Underground nature with artist Ylva WesterlundIn

Tensta metro station there are murals and sculptures by artist Helga Henschen, "A rose to immigrants" from 1975 and a work done by students from Askebyskolan: "Under the ground we remember the sky". What are we seeing? What do you think the artist wanted to say? Is it possible to tell a new story that is about today?
