Damien Ajavon (born in France in 1990) is an artist and textile craftmaker with Senegalese and Togolese roots. In their practice, Ajavon explores the manipulation of textile fibres by hand, and their creative process is influenced by the interplay between visual and tactile experiences. Their artistic practice is deeply rooted in their heritage and influenced by African craftmanship in dialogue with their diasporic and transoceanic experience as well as by queer communities.
About Flat as a pancake – something for all the senses
In connection with the Soft Logic exhibition, several of the participating artists will activate parts of their works together with the audience. Each event will feature music, and the art gallery's café will serve pancakes. Keep an eye on social media for dates and more information.
